Balsa Stripper Balsa Stripper Ref: SL047-R

This Balsa Stripper is the only one we have seen that really works. The unit is supplied with an aluminium 'U' channel, 1 metre (39") long, which has a strong double sided tape fixed to its underside. This is fixed down to either your model bench or a separate piece of wood, melamine faced chipboard for example. Thickness spacers are provided for all the popular sizes. One or more of these are put into the carrier andthis is slid into the 'U' channel. The wood to be stripped is then held against the 'U' channel and the carrier is drawn down the channel and before you know, you've got an accurate strip of wood a the grade you wanted and at a fraction of the cost. Hardwood and even plywood can be stripped in a similar manner, but you may need to make several passes depending on the thickness & hardness. The blades are a standard type and easily available. The whole set comprises of, Carrier, 'U' Channel, Spacers & Blade plus full instructions.

Hinge Slitting Jig - This neatly finds the exact centre of the surface to be hinged. You simply place the jig over the part to be hinged and squeeze. The slot in the back of the jig will be the hinge position which you mark with a blade or similar. It keeps all the hinges in a straight line for smooth movement. 1 per pkt

When say, a wing panel was being covered, you would hold the cutter against the trailing edge & draw it down the wing. The little hand on the shank makes the clamp sit level & upright on the building board and two or three together can be used as jigs etc. There are three sizes, large, medium and mini. The maximum jaw opening for the large is 4.1/2" (112mm), the medium is 3" (76mm), the small one is 2.1/4" (56mm), it also has the added feature of a lockable jaw allowing it to be set in position. Building JigBuilding Jig Ref: SL054-S

Produce straight and square fuselages with this building jig. All you need is a flat board, it can be chipboard , MDF or the like, 12mm to 15mm (1/2" to 5/8") thick and 381mm x 1220 in size. A printed self adhesive grid is stuck onto the board. Holes are drilled where indicated & captive nuts are drawn into the underside using the bolts provided. The moulded angles are slotted so that using the bolts & moulded washers the angles can be accurately positioned as required. 56 captive nuts are provided together with 10 angles complete with locking bolts and washers. Full instructions are provided. Additional angles, captive nuts,bolts & washers are available if required.
